Second Gen Commercial is a privately owned commercial shopfitting business, led by owner-operator Christopher Morris and based in North Brisbane, Queensland. The business delivers fit-out works for retail, hospitality, office, medical and every other commercial client across Australia.
Chris brings hands-on experience in commercial fit-outs gained before founding Second Gen Commercial, and leads every project personally, from initial scope through to final handover.
The business works directly with each client's own architects and designers through documentation and approvals, and runs every project under one contract from initial scope through to handover. Chris holds an Open Builder Licence with the QBCC, and Second Gen Commercial has grown quickly in recent years on the strength of its finished work. Chris leads a small, hardworking team that continues to grow substantially as the business takes on more work.
Every project is delivered in accordance with the relevant legislation and codes for its sector, with documentation and compliance certification managed as part of the one contract. Second Gen Commercial specialises in complex, detailed fit-outs, where close coordination between trades and finishes is what gets a site over the line on time and to specification.
